What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the true, inspired, and authoritative Word of God. In its original manuscripts, it is inerrant. The Scriptures reveal everything we need to know for salvation, faith, and living a life that glorifies God. The Bible is relevant today and forevermore!

Deuteronomy 4:1-2, Psalm119:11,89,105, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 22:29, John 5:39;16:13-15; 17:17, Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 1:1-2, 4:12, 1Peter 1:25, 2 Peter 3:16

God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and coeternal, distinct yet perfectly united in essence, power, and purpose.

Genesis 1:1-2, Isaiah 64:8, Matthew 6:9, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 1:3, John 1:1, John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 16, Colossians 2:9, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1:8, Romans 8:11,

The Identity and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He is the Son of Man, the Son of God, and the Son of David. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, was buried, and rose bodily from the grave on the third day. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will one day return in glory to reign forever.

John 1:1-14,  John 20:28, Colossians 1:15-17, Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 1:3-8, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 4:14-16, Revelation 22:12-13

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively at work in the world today. He convicts the world of sin, draws people to Christ, regenerates the hearts of believers, and empowers them for holy living and bold witness. The Spirit gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the advancement of the gospel. We believe these gifts are still active and should be pursued in love and humility.

John 3:5-6, John 14:16-26, John 16:13, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:11, 1 Corinthians 2:4-5, Titus 3:5

Human Nature and Sin

We believe all people are created in the image of God and made to be in relationship with Him. Yet because of sin, humanity is separated from God and unable to save itself. Every person inherits a sinful nature and stands in need of the forgiveness and new life that only Jesus can give.

Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:1-24, Psalm 8:4-5, Psalm 51:5,

Salvation

We believe salvation is the free gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but received through repentance and trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross. Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, made new, adopted as children of God, and sealed with the Holy Spirit.

John 1:12, John 3:16, Acts 10:43, Acts 16:31, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Peter 1:18-19, 2 Peter 3:9, Titus 3:5, Colossians 1:13-14, Revelation 22:17,

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body and Bride of Christ, made up of all believers across every generation, nation, and background. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate the love and holiness of Jesus to the world.

Matthew 16:18, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:42, Acts 20:28, Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27, Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 2:19-22, Ephesians 4:4-13, Ephesians 5:25-27, Colossians 1:18, Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 10:24-25, Hebrews 12:23, 1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 19:7-8

Our Mission (The Great Commission)

We believe every believer is called to share the good news of Jesus and make disciples of all nations. The Church is sent into the world as ambassadors of Christ, empowered by the Spirit to proclaim the Kingdom of God through love, truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:47-48, Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Matthew 5:13-16, Colossians 4:5-6, Romans 10:14-15

Sin and Holiness

We believe sin grieves the heart of God and separates us from His presence. Through confession, repentance, and faith in Jesus, we are forgiven and set apart to walk in holiness by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are called to live lives that reflect the character of Jesus and display His transforming grace.

Leviticus 11:44-45, Romans 6:19, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 1:4, Titus 2:11-12, 1 Thessalonians 5:22

Eternal Life and the Return of Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom. All who belong to Him will be raised to everlasting life in His presence, and those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. We live in joyful anticipation of His coming and the renewal of all things.

Matthew 24:30-31, Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 2:6-7, 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 22:12-13
